If your product has a tendancy to bridge,
rat hole or just get hung up in hoppers, silos, bins or bulk bags, we
have news for you! Introducing the brand new Young Industries' Stinger
Product Feeder. This remarkable technology is quickly changing the way
products ar
e handled and will likely have an application
in your plant, too. Pictured above is a Stinger discharging titanium dioxide.
Notice how it flows out of this nozzle like water from a spout and with
no electrical requirements! The Stinger is operated purely by means of
plant air or nitrogen. See the brochure, here, under "technical details."

For several years, Young has been developing
the concept of TransFlow. This remarkable permeable membrane allows air
or nitrogen in to fluidize the difficult to move products such as Titanium
Dioxide, Diatomaceous Earth, Carbon Black, Iron Oxide, Powdered Resins,
Lime, Calcium Carbonate, coatings and pigments of all types. If you have
a fine powdered product, then the Stinger could very well be the answer.
What's even more remarkable about the Stinger
is its ability to precisely and accurately measure out these powders with
repeatable results. This is done by using air controls only and this unit
requires absolutely no electricity which makes it portable and versatile.

Shown, right, is the new
Stinger for quick and easy bulk bag unloading.
How it works:
- The bulk bag is moved into place and connected
to the Stinger unit.
- The operator, when ready to fill the process
vessel turns on the Stinger unloader air control valve and the
material is automatically metered into the mixer.
- The operator can start, stop or change the
flow rate of the discharging material at any time during the process.
- The unique design of the Stinger unloader
makes the discharge of products trouble-free without the use of
hard-to-use flow aids. The Stinger elminates feed screws, vibrators,
and other high maintenance devices.

STINGER METERING FEEDER SIZING
| Model No. |
Metering Capacity |
| 4 x 1.5 |
32 to 3200 lbs/hr (16 to 1600 kg/hr) |
| 4 x 2 |
60 to 6000 lbs/hr (27 to 2700 kg/hr) |
| 6 x 3 |
150 to 15000 lbs/hr (68 to 6800 kg/hr) |
| 6 x 4 |
250 to 25000 lbs/hr (112 to 11200 kg/hr) |
| The Stinger Feeder easily adapts to converting
your existing bins and hoppers from the use of high maintenance mechanical
devices. It removes all existing moving parts from your product stream,
improves flowability, eliminates binding, rat holing and plugging.

TESTING
Complete product testing facilities are available
at Young Industries in Muncy, PA. Tests are conducted on your materials
by trained bulk handling engineers and technicians. You are welcome to
view the demonstration of equipment at work on your own product.

Other Young Industries' bulk materials handling
equipment is available to analyze your pneumatic conveying, mixing,
blending, size reduction, size classification and air quality problems.
Left is a typical Stinger arrangement with
a portable base for moving from point to point within your plant
by means of a forktruck.
